It amazes me on a daily basis how people so often forget that Jesus preached tolerance. I'm not a religious person either but your statement summed it up perfectly. Sometimes, I think about the story of what Jesus did to the temple and then I think of today's society... and then I think of that money-making slogan, "What would Jesus do?" ... and then I stop, because, the shame and embarrassment I feel is too great.
